This is an introduction to a case where a liquid membrane was introduced into a beer brewing wastewater treatment facility. The customer, with the catchphrase "Adding flavor to beer! Bringing happiness to life!" is dedicated and stubborn in their beer production. They faced significant seasonal fluctuations in sludge load, making it challenging to operate the wastewater treatment. However, following advice from a certain company that also provided guidance on the operation of the treatment facility, they replaced the hollow fiber membrane from another company with a liquid membrane, hoping to improve maintenance. Currently, they are operating stably as initially expected. Reduction of sludge volume and reduction of transaction volume are possible!

The backwash-type Yuasa is a backwash immersion membrane separation device that can efficiently perform filtration, sludge recovery, and sludge concentration. It filters the concentrated liquid in the immersion tank by suction, causing sludge to adhere to the membrane surface. After a certain period, the membrane module rises and backwashes to detach the sludge from the membrane surface. It enables sludge volume reduction and the recovery of chemical-free sludge.
